Tour de Parks
I struggled with this month's route. I had a route all set up for Bexley however, I think I'm going to postpone that route for either next month or the following b/c I feel like weaving through the Bexley neighborhood will be that much more glorious during fall time.
Parks. They are amazing. They bring families together, create conversations with complete strangers, and they create a sense of calmness (at least for me they do :))
6 -645p - Let's round up at Caffe Apropos. An ADORABLE cafe on the southwest corner of 3rd and Michigan. It's residential so should you drive there, you shouldn't have any problems finding parking. We'll have our usual meet n greet and support a local business owner.
650 -740 p - We'll head off on our Tour de Parks. Hopefully we'll have this cool, fantastic riding weather. I'd like to try to hit: Goodale Park, Genoa Park, Bicentennial Park, Fetch Park and the Columbus Commons (not necessarily in that order). Not everyone is familiar with all the parks we have available to us, so let's get them familiar with a few of them.
745p- 830p - We'll have another stop at the Jeni's German Village walk-up scoop shop. It'll be a Wed. evening so I'm thinking the line won't be too ridiculous. I also work in the production kitchen so we will be able to get a discount on our scoops - just be sure to bring cash should you want ice cream.
830p-9p - We'll end back at Caffe Apropos.
Two more LOCAL businesses will be supported by a bunch of ladies on bikes! We need to continue to show businesses that people on bikes CAN stimulate local economy :) We doubled the amount of ladies for last months ride. Let's go BIGGER!
We'll also be leisurely biking through five neighborhoods which means more visibility to this group of awesome. Make sure to tell your other lady friends, hitch your trailer and bring your child(ren). This ride is to empower more women on two wheels. Women also play the leading role when transporting their children so the earlier we show the kids that the bike is just as reliable as the car - the better.
